Challenge
OnlineWeddings was recording unusually high GA4 event counts because a single CTA interaction could generate the same event multiple times.
My Approach
I traced the event in GTM Preview, audited the container for duplicate tags/triggers, and inspected the browser requests to identify the duplicate implementation.
Solution
I removed the unnecessary implementation and consolidated the event into a single GTM tracking setup.
Result
The same user interaction now generates one GA4 event instead of duplicates, keeping event and conversion reporting accurate.
